Sneaker Style
For some reason I never wear sneakers, the only exception being when exercising. For these shoes, I will gladly change my mind. The studded Miu Miu shoes are beyond amazing. I can’t even explain how wonderful a gold glitter sneaker is. My favorite has to be the white ones. They are so classic being in a crisp white color, but then there are a few rows of studs at the very top  that add the right amount of edge. The floral and leopard ones are also perfect. I can see myself using them to practice my pattern mixing, or a adding a pop of intrigue to a simple outfit.

I love starting an outfit with classic pieces and silhouettes, then using accessories to create the tone of the outfit. A sparkly top versus a plain black one takes this outfit from day to night. I fully believe that small touches can change an entire outfit. Without the studded clutch, feather earrings, and lace up heels, this could be worn to work. Granted, a sparkly tank top doesn’t work well for office wear, but, you get the general idea. With  small changes to the outfit it becomes appropriate for a fun night out on the town. I especially love the polka dot tights. Tights are a necessary part of winter outfits, if you don’t want to freeze to death, but they don’t have to be boring. Instead of basic black tights add a pattern like polka dots, or embrace the color blocking trend with colorful tights. The possibilities are endless when accessories are involved.
Coats are another great way to add some personality to an outfit. The first thing people see in the winter is your coat, and sometimes, that is the only thing they see. I love my black pea coat, but sometimes I want to switch things up with a bold color or patterns. I love this military inspired yellow pea coat by BB Dakota.
It’s classic and simple but bold at the same time.

sheer and simple
I love how simple this outfit is. The sheer skirt adds a bit of drama to an otherwise basic outfit. Those boots need to find their way into my closet right now. I’ve become obsessed with lace up ankle boots, and these are a perfect addition to my wardrobe.

Just a quick quote that always inspires me to be myself and to always share my emotions 🙂

These are Godiva pumpkin spice caramels. They are absolutely delicious. Of course, you have to like pumpkin flavored treats and caramel, and if you do, these are a must. Switching to a completely different topic, I was at my family friend’s house last night and we had a delicious almond pound cake for dessert. The flavor wasn’t overly powerful, but was still prevalent in every bite. Seeing family and friends two days in a row means my house is filled with cookies, cake and chocolate. It is becoming too tempting, and I am on the verge of having cookies for every meal.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Handbag, Item Leather ToteEven though it’s January, and I should be wearing my best neutrals, I find myself thinking about color. It’s easy to get caught up in the giant sweaters and the always slimming black. Neutrals may be more comfortable but brighter colors are way more fun to style in the winter. Carrying an orange tote or wearing a pink skirt may draw more attention than a black sweater dress (love my sweater dresses), but sometimes attention is a good thing. Why blend in on a cold dreary weekday when you can boost your mood with a simple pice of clothing.

Michael Kors Watch, Women's Chronograph Horn Acetate and Stainless Steel Bracelet 45mm MK5558COACH BOYFRIEND BRACELET WATCH Michael Kors Watch, Women's Chronograph Tortoise Acetate and Stainless Steel Bracelet 45mm MK5557

I keep gravitating towards boyfriend style watches. Maybe it’s the arm party trend, or the continuous rise of menswear inspired clothing, but I love the look of a larger watch. Watches are an instant accessory so why hide it? I recently bought a Fossil, white, plastic boyfriend style watch and absolutely love it! If I could, I’d buy every Micheal Kors watch, especially the ones featured above. Rose gold watches are also gaining a lot of popularity. Major brands like Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Fossil, and Coach(above) have a rose gold option for many of their watches. Watches are no longer just a way of telling time; they are a statement piece.

The holiday season may be over, but I still find joy in looking at old creations and holiday desserts.

A coconut chocolate covered strawberry, and a peppermint chocolate covered strawberry. Two wonderful creations that can make anyone love dining hall food. To give my dining the benefit of the doubt, they really had holiday spirit this year. Major points for showing Elf on a big screen. No dinner is complete without Will Ferrell in the background asking your favorite color!

I made this little guy the same day I got the strawberries. My red/green color palette may not be the most creative, but I think he looks beautiful :). His gum drop arms and nose and M&M smile are enough to make any girl want to eat him.

Hello and welcome to lucky sweets! My place to share my baking, cooking, and fashion favorites! I read so many wonderful blogs every day and decided to create my own space to share my inspiration!
