Pattern Mixing, Monochromatic, and Florals
Pattern Mixing, Monochromatic, and Florals by treerochelle featuring gucci

Derek Lam sleeveless blouse / Topshop / Gucci / Charlotte Olympia pointy toe shoes / Rebecca Minkoff striped tote bag / J.Crew j crew bracelet / Gorjana

The title says it all. Pattern mixing with florals and stripes, both of which are becoming neutrals in my eye. The blouse is stunning in its simplicity and rich color. An extra pop of color comes from the minty shoes, which not only add color but provide some monochromatic inspiration to this look. I have been obsessed with white blazers lately and I definitely need to find one for Spring/Summer. I would wear this outfit every day If I could and pretend it’s acceptable.

Feeling Playful
Feeling Playful by treerochelle featuring swarovski crystal jewelry

Flare dress / Rebecca Taylor / Charlotte Olympia shoes / Tory Burch / DANNIJO swarovski crystal jewelry / BCBGMAXAZRIA

I started playing around with outfits as I was blasting upbeat party music and this is the result. A combination of feminine pieces, quirky pieces and a splash of 90s grunge. This outfit feels completely random yet it still works. This dress is beautiful but also simple. It’s a solid color, but a bold one which creates a statement on its own. It’s sleeveless, but flared giving it a very feminine shape. Now the yellow belt. It’s a bold combination but is perfect for this fun flirty oufit. I love this DANNIJO cuff. It has large jewels and adds some funk to the flirty dress. Add some quirky cat loafers from Charlotte Olympia and you now have a flirty, fun, feminine and quirky outfit. The last part to this outfit: 90s style denim vest. Part grunge, part elementary school, the denim vest has been back for quite some time. Cue flashbacks to 90s. This outfit is quite a mouthful!

Can't Get Enough Stripes
Can’t Get Enough Stripes by treerochelle featuring lacoste

Sea, New York navy tank, $410 / J Brand skinny fit jeans / Madewell / Orla Kiely handbag, $545 / Lacoste / Filigree earrings

This is my motto in life: You can never have enough stripes. Someone needs to give me a stripe intervention because most of my closet happens to be full of striped pieces. It’s a great pattern. Versatile, and thanks to it being a trend, it’s basically a neutral. Shoes are now coming in stripes, as seen here, with these sandals that would go perfectly with this navy tank top with a slight peplum. Peplum, stripes on stripes, so many trends going on here. In this outfit I find myself in the Hamptons again drinking iced coffee and going shopping while the weather is in the high 60s. Throw on some gold jewelry and you’re set to be one classy lady. Normally when I make these outfits it’s pure fantasy because it’s cold and gloomy where I am but… the sun is shining and it’s in the 60s! Victory for everyone I say. If I had any of these pieces in my wardrobe I would be rocking this outfit right now. I hope the weather by you is just as beautiful. Enjoy the sunshine!

Pattern Skirt 2 Ways
Pattern Skirt 2 Ways by treerochelle featuring a hook bracelet

Acne long sleeve blouse / DKNY blouse / Pencil skirt / Zara leather ballet shoes / Irene Neuwirth hook bracelet / Oscar de la Renta shell necklace

Printed skirts are perfect for Spring. Here are two ways I styled this blue and white printed skirt. I’ve been very influenced by monochromatic looks so for the first outfit I paired the skirt with a blue ombre blouse that is both casual and dressy. It can be worn tucked in to look funky and sophisticated or loose over the skirt for a more laid-back vibe. Going with this whole casual yet dressy theme are nude flats from Zara that have an amazing ankle strap aka jewelry.

The look on the right takes on color blocking and plays with shades of blue at the same time. I have no words for this necklace. It looks like tree branches, and is a statement necklace, and is blue. Perfection? I think so. The white peplum top is simple but powerful because of its construction. It also gives all the attention to the skirt. Blue and yellow are colors that compliment each other very well, and these mary jane platforms are the perfect yellow for this skirt and dress up the entire outfit without being over the top.

Basically, patterned skirts are extremely versatile and can be paired with almost anything. Have fun with your looks and don’t be afraid to go bold!

A Feminine Touch
A Feminine Touch by treerochelle featuring miu miu tote

Carven dress, $505 / Miu Miu tote / Carolee heart bracelet / Dorothy Perkins / Thin belt

I was feeling very feminine when creating this outfit. Pretty pinks, neutrals, whites, nudes and all the colors that scream girlie style. Some days you just want to feel like a princess and this is how I would do it while still feeling modern and classy. I also picture myself strolling through the Hamptons in this outfit, and maybe being an extra on Revenge. I can dream right? Well if I can’t be on my favorite shows, I can at least dress like them.

Bags for Spring
Bags for Spring by treerochelle featuring dooney & bourke

Proenza Schouler handbag / Brahmin satchel handbag / Mulberry genuine leather handbag / Dooney & Bourke

Spring is finally here! I’m hoping I can manipulate the weather by wearing as many bright colors as possible. Maybe, just maybe the weather will get warmer and hear my plea. An easy way to add color to your spring wardrobe is through your accessories, seen here, bags! I love bags and I am definitely craving some color. The first bag(top left) is the Mulberry Flower Mini leather shoulder bag. It has scalloped edges, a chain strap and is a beautiful pistachio color. Dream bag? Check. On to the beloved Proenza Schouler PS1 Pouch Leather. It’s yellow, it’s neon, it’s bold and it is perfect for wandering around on those warm Spring days. Third, a color-blocked perfection, the Dooney & Bourke Shopper tote. It’s blue, pink (two of my favorite colors to wear) and a lovely nude colored handle. This will go on my list I named: If I had all the money in the world I would buy you. I think it’s fitting. Although I keep raving about color, Spring to me also means a gorgeous brown bag and this Brahmin satchel bag is beautiful. It looks roomy, it has multiple handles because why should you just pick one way to hold your bag? I certainly hate to choose.

Stay stylish and I will hope for more sun for all of you 🙂

Swimwear Inspiration
Memorial Day is here signaling the beginning of summer. The weather is staying warmer, and the beaches and pools will have their crowds soon. Now is time for last minute swimwear shopping. There’s a bathing suit for every body type, each able to represent the latest trends.

It’s summer vacation! Although it’s not officially summer, I’m looking forward to some relaxing summer activities: walking around outside with a frappuccino, my colored sunglasses, a bold dress, and a cute cover up for the beach. I plan on enjoying my 3 1/2 months of summer until the scary grad school application starts. With a few vacations lined up, I am beyond excited for this break!

One Item Two Ways: Leather Jacket

It’s finals week, which means I want to create outfits that are comfortable for studying and taking tests, but still look put together. Stripes and any shade of blue are definitely my go-to combos when I’m looking to create an outfit very quickly. Moccasins and Toms are fantastic because they are easy to walk around in. I love the idea of pairing different shades of blue together, an idea I got from Sterling Style this morning. I love love stripes on stripes, and a simple way of doing that is with a pair of striped shoes. These outfits are basic in the best of ways, and the leather jacket is the perfect piece to pull both outfits together. I love the shape, construction and color of it, and the way it instantly adds style. It’s perfect for when the weather is getting warmer, but is still a little chilly. With only 2 finals to go, I just have to make it until tomorrow and then I will be free! One more year of college left! Time really does go by too quickly.
